Complexity, Value and Time will be the overarching theme of the event.

Yet, it is important to note that the extraordinary level of talent and energy that these events attract, make it virtually impossible for organizers to define or enforce too much structure or control over the ideas that are shared. 
​

TEDxNewBedford will showcase a collection of people – in some cases representing institutions, sectors, movements – who are ‘Axes’ (i.e. leading thinkers AND practitioners) in their fields.  The speakers are people with intense passion, deep domain expertise and skills, and a record of applying them to create value, including in time, across a wide range of experiences.

Some of our speakers are locals, others from across the country.  Together, they will present ideas worth sharing through the talks of their lives.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED- like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x=independently organized TED event.
